What we now call The Brewery, beside Tyne Bridge, has had many iterations, as John Gill & Co. Brewers, Miss Blackett-Ord's Laundry (and Public Baths - if there was hot water left over!) - a Stocking Factory, a Pottery and Fabric Workshop, as well as home for the Storey family. Simon will open up some of the history of the building, with a focus on the laundry and stocking factory.
